We all love when the Azalea's start to bloom in East Texas. Take some of that beauty with you, as you learn more about them at the Sterne-Hoya House Museum and Library in Nacogdoches. The Azalea Art Day is coming up on April 6th, 2019. There will be all kinds of art projects to participate in.

The art projects will include some that have historic roots, centered around the beautiful Azaleas grown there on the property of the museum. Flower pounding was an activity I remember from my youth, and I am sure would bring back some memories. There are some of them that are all new. Bubble painting, sun catchers, and a few more.

You can try your hand at the "painting the fence" art project. I think I saw that project on Karate Kid? I am actually sure it's not the same, or at least I hope. It all sounds like fun, but most of the activities are messy, so dress accordingly.
