Blake Shelton’s Childhood Home Is For Sale! [Pictures]
If you're a big Blake Shelton fan, this might be your chance to nab a once-in-a-lifetime piece of merchandise. The country superstar's childhood home in Oklahoma is currently for sale.
Shelton's mother, Dorothy, has listed the ranch-style home on South Broadway Boulevard in Ada, Okla., for $250,000. The brick house was built in 1973 and features three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms.
According to the listing from Mary Terry & Associates Real Estate, the home's amenities include a custom rustic great room, formal living room with fireplace, kitchen with granite countertops and breakfast area. There's also a spacious back patio for entertaining.
Listing agent Tyler Thompson tells Realtor.com that the family isn’t asking a premium price due to the name association. “It’s a lot of house for the money, and a fair price for the area,” he says.
The 3,140-square-foot house was recently remodeled, and also features a wraparound deck, as well a rustic room paneled with reclaimed barn wood that's been made to look like an old Western town, including an outhouse door and shingled roof. That room was added on especially for Shelton's mom after he left home.
Shelton splits his time between Texoma Lake in Oklahoma and Los Angeles these days, filming The Voice when he's not on the road. Blake Shelton tickets for his Doing It to Country Songs Tour are going fast as he tours the U.S. with two of his former The Voice Team Blake members, RaeLynn and Sundance Head.
