Blue Bell Set to Return Monday with Big Giveaways

In the Spring of 2015, we felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in hunger for dessert, and were suddenly silenced. On Monday, December 14th, the Force awakens.  

With apologies to Star Wars fans, one of the biggest events of the year is happening at 46 area Brookshire Brothers locations this week.  Blue Bell Ice Cream is coming back to East Texas.

In April, Blue Bell made the decision to close their plants in Alabama, Oklahoma, and Texas to do a complete overhaul to ensure safety in the process of making their famous ice cream.  In August, it was announced that Blue Bell would return to stores through phases.  Phase one included markets just to the south and west of the Pineywoods.  Phase two in November brought in stores in north central Texas.  And on December 14th, it's our turn.

We've teamed up with Brookshire Brothers to make this a huge Blue Bell Blowout.  Firefighters will be at each of the 46 stores to add to the pomp and regalia of the return.  Each store will also be giving away free Blue Bell for a year to a lucky winner (that's 46 winners in all!).  The KICKS 105 Road Show will be broadcasting from 7-9 a.m. at the Brookshire Brothers Fresh Market on Chestnut in Lufkin with lots of giveaways including that free Blue Bell for a year.  Also, be sure to join the Brookshire Brothers loyalty program called 'Celebrate' to take part in the '12 Days of Blue Bell' which starts Monday.  This gives you many discounts to items Blue Bell related.

How long will the Blue Bell last?

Good question...at some of the returns in August and November, it only took a few hours before the shelves were bare of Blue Bell, in others, it took longer.  My advice, if you want your Blue Bell, get there early to your local Brookshire Brothers...and may the Force be with you.
