Cam Marries Adam Weaver in California Desert Ceremony
Country singer Cam and Adam Weaver tied the knot Saturday evening (Sep. 24) in their home state of California.
The ceremony took place in the desert town of Joshua Tree. It was an intimate ceremony with 140 guests in attendance.
Cam walked down the aisle in a Jenny Packham gown that resembled a 1930s look, a style the "Burning House" singer tells People she is fond of. A mariachi band played "Besame Mucho" in the background as she made her way toward her future husband.
Following the ceremony, the couple shared their first dance to Miranda Lambert's version of "Oklahoma Sky," a favorite between the newlyweds.
"It's just one of the most beautiful songs," Cam says. "It has such an atmosphere to it. It just pulls you in and both of us loved it."
The 31-year-old undoubtedly was excited to see her husband waiting for her at the altar, but the second best part of the evening wasn't very far behind.
"The second biggest moment is the arrival of the churro," Cam shares of the reception's Mexican-themed fare. "Adam and I are obsessed with churros."
The newlyweds are jet-setting across the world to Tokyo and Bali for their honeymoon, but Cam says as exciting as that is, she just can't wait to start her life as a married woman. After all, it includes a growing family ... well, at least a furry one.
"It's just fun saying someone's your husband," she admits. "I'm excited for our life together, encouraging each other and getting more dogs."
