Carrie Underwood got an unexpectedly cheesy reception at her concert in Milwaukee, Wisc., on Thursday night (June 20). The country superstar performed at the less-than-year-old Fiserv Forum, and was welcomed with ... a 40-pound block of cheese?

This wasn't just a regular 40-pound block of cheese (is there such a thing?), either: This cheese block was carved into Underwood's image, complete with microphone in hand and "The Cry Pretty Tour 360" typography chiseled into it.

"The @fiservforum outdid themselves tonight!" Underwood wrote in an Instagram post. "This is me ... carved into a 40 lb block of Wisconsin cheese in honor of our show here in Milwaukee! I’m speechless!!!"

Fans quickly jumped on the post with some hilarious commentary: "Cheeses take the wheel!" wrote one; "Before He Cheesed" wrote another. And then there was the clever cheese pun "Looks Sharp!"

A few fans were critical — "I thought it was Alice Cooper," said one — but hey, it's the thought that counts, right? And Wisconsin just gave Underwood a perfectly good reason to use the cheese emoji!

The country superstar continues her Cry Pretty Tour 360 with a Friday night (June 21) date in Minneapolis, Minn., followed by a stop in Lincoln, Neb., on June 23, with more than two dozen dates to follow. Currently, the Cry Pretty Tour 360 is scheduled to end on Oct. 31, with the final show taking place at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Mich.

Carrie Underwood tickets are currently available for the remaining shows.
