Carrie Underwood Says She’s Halfway Finished with Her Next Album [AUDIO]

She scored a number one duet with Brad Paisley this year, but it’s been a little while since Carrie Underwood released any new music on her ow. After all, her last album, ‘Play On,’ came out way back in 2009.

Her fans shouldn’t have to wait too much longer to hear more from her, though. She revealed during a call to Ryan Seacrest’s radio show on Thursday that she’s hard at work on her next record.

“I have been writing quite a bit and have been in the studio a bit,” she told Seacrest, adding, “I probably have half an album done right now and I am trying to fill in the gaps and figure out what fits into the puzzle. It’s a fun time right now.”

Asked if she’d be debuting any new material during her Vegas shows later in the month, she said, “It’s a little too early,” telling Seacrest she still needs to make sure the songs are strong enough before she takes them out in the world.
