Carrie Underwood Gets Unique End-of-Tour Gifts From Tourmates
Carrie Underwood performed the final date of her Storyteller Tour on Monday night (Nov. 28), and the singer shared her appreciation for her fans — and openers the Swon Brothers and Easton Corbin — on social media.
"So bittersweet. It's been such an amazing year! Thank you fans for the ❤️ night after night!" she writes on Twitter. Underwood also shared photos with her tourmates, who gifted the singer with some goodbye wall art.
"Thank you so much @theswonbrothers for being on this adventure with us!" she captions a drawing of her and the Swon Brothers performing together. "It's hard to believe we all started out as kids with big dreams singing everywhere in Oklahoma together! We sure have come a long way. I'm glad to say I knew you back when... Love you guys..."
Underwood and Zac Swon went to college together at Northeastern State University.
Later, the country superstar posted a photo with her other tour opener, Corbin, who gifted her with a beautiful portrait of Dolly Parton.
"Thanks, @eastoncorbin for being on this amazing tour. And thank you for this incredible gift! One of my favorite pics of one of my favorite artists ever!" she says alongside a photo of the gift. "It really has been a pleasure getting to work with you. You and your crew are so hard-working and sweet. Keep on being awesome, no matter where the road takes you next."
Easton returned the thank you, commenting on the photo on Instagram.
"It's been an honor to work with such an amazing artist on this incredible tour. I can't say it enough, but thank you to you and your team for letting me be a part of this special journey, @carrieunderwood!"
Underwood recently picked up Favorite Country Album for Storyteller at the 2016 American Music Awards.
