Carrie Underwood Enjoys Wine Country Vacation
Carrie Underwood has been working quite hard of late promoting her latest single, "Cry Pretty," as well as appearing on the latest episode of American Idol as a mentor to the final hopeful contestants Sunday (May 13) night. It only stands to reason that she'd be ready to relax for a few days...and it appears from her social media she's doing just that.
Underwood posted a series of photos of herself, husband Mike Fisher, and son Isaiah enjoying some time in California's beautiful Napa Valley. She's actually there for a work purpose—namely, headlining the Live in the Vineyard country festival talking place through May 17—but the singer appeared to be having some pleasant downtime as well, soaking up the scenery and partaking in the regional food and drink scene. She detailed some wine tasting on her trip, as well as a special meal that her little boy apparently helped to prepare in her photo share (flip through to see).
"Napa Valley, you are my happy place," she captioned the shots. "Amazing wine, beautiful scenery, wonderful friends, new places and a yummy dinner created by @chefchiarello and his apprentice, Isaiah Fisher! And that was just the first day here! Life is good..."
What's also good is Underwood's latest tune. "Cry Pretty" is the first song from Underwood's next studio album, her first in nearly three years and her first on UMG Nashville after a post-Idol career spent on Sony Music Nashville. The album is also called Cry Pretty and will be released on Sept.14.
