Their "Fixer Upper" show may be ending on HGTV, but Chip and Joanna Gaines have plenty of other projects in the works.  One of those is a brand new restaurant that just opened this week in Waco.

Today.com says the restaurant will be open from 6 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and will be closed on Sundays, so it's a breakfast, brunch, and lunch spot.  And it won't take reservations so prepare for a long wait.  They will have a coffee bar and take-away counter outside, so if you don't get a seat you can still try the food.

The menu includes simple dishes with the rustic flare that we would all expect from Chip and Jo, and it sounds a little gooey too because we are in Texas after all and we like cheesy and sugary things.  The deviled eggs at Magnolia Table are topped with brown sugar bacon bits. Say no more.  And there are plenty of cheesy egg dishes and burgers too.  If you like healthy foods that make all of the latest Pinterest food trend pages, you'll be happy about the fresh green juice and avocado toast, and Jo's farmhouse salad and seasonal soups.

And you know they'll have lots of kid-friendly dishes too, since they've got four kids with another on the way last this year.  (Oh, and The Today Show says Joanna's pregnancy cravings include Fruity Bebbles and pimento cheese, and at least one of those make an appearance on the Magnolia Table menu.)  Banana and Honey sandwiches are on the kids' menu at the new restaurant, and hot dogs too.

Joanna Gaines is releasing a new cookbook in April, so the restaurant opens just in time.  It's in downtown Waco at the former historic Elite Cafe site, where Elvis used to go while he was stationed nearby during his time in the army. There are photographs on the wall to pay tribute to the history.

Fans of the HGTV show will really miss Chip and Jo when "Fixer Upper" ends, but in Texas we can stay connected though Magnolia Market and now Magnolia Table.  That's real life and not just a TV show, and way better anyway.  Road trip on!
