Craig Campbell Joins Luke Bryan’s Huntin,’ Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day Tour
Craig Campbell is ready to hit the road with Luke Bryan, bringing his career full circle in the process. Campbell has officially joined Bryan's 2017 Huntin,' Fishin' and Lovin' Every Day Tour and will be on the trek through early September.
This isn't the first time the "Keep Them Kisses Comin'" singer has worked with the superstar. Campbell used to play keyboard in Bryan's band, and he insists it was Bryan who encouraged him to really hone his songwriting skills early in his career.
“He said, ‘Man you need to be writing songs, and you need to be writing with different people, twice a day,’” Campbell explains. “That’s where you can define yourself as an artist, and nobody is going to sing them better than you.’”
Campbell serves as an opening act during the massive tour's nine east coast dates, which wrap on Sept. 9 in Pittsburgh, Pa. He joins a long list of openers swapping spots throughout the tour, including Brett Eldredge, Lauren Alaina and Granger Smith.
Bryan's Huntin' run kicked off in May at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena and continues through the fall before wrapping up on Oct. 28 in San Bernadino, Calif. Campbell's signature hit, "Outskirts of Heaven," co-written with Dave Turnbull ("Anything Like Me," "Boys of Fall"), reached the Top 30 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart after its 2016 release. “The place that I describe in this song is what I want when I get there. I didn’t know it’d be a healing song," he tells Taste of Country of the track.
