Dolly Parton may be an industry veteran, but she’s no slouch when it comes to keeping up with technology. The legend has announced plans to live stream her annual homecoming parade on May 6 from Pigeon Forge, Tenn.

The parade is hosted every year by her hometown to salute the artist, and typically draws tens of thousands of spectators.

The live stream will take the point of view right from Parton’s float, which coincides with her new dinner theater restaurant, Dolly Parton’s Lumberjack Adventure Dinner & Show, and will begin at 6PM ET. The parade is the 31st annual event, and it will be streamed via Parton’s Facebook page, as well as the Facebook page for the Lumberjack Adventure Dinner & Show.

Parton recently announced the first 14 dates for her North American headlining tour, her first major U.S. and Canadian tour in more than 25 years. Called Pure & Simple, the tour parallels the release of a new double-disc album called Pure & Simple With Dolly’s Biggest Hits, a collection of her classic tunes along with a few new tracks.

"We’re so excited to get out there and see the fans again,” the legend says. “I’m really looking forward to singing songs the fans have not heard in a while, as well as the hits, while debuting a few new ones off Pure & Simple."

Parton's TV movie about one difficult summer during her childhood, Coat of Many Colors, is out on DVD May 3. Based on her song by the same name, the movie was the most-watched film on a broadcast network since 2012 and serves as the first of three she signed on to create with NBC based on her life and work. The second is slated to derive from her hit "Jolene."
