Get Active In Nacogdoches Before Thanksgiving

Running a 5K high on tryptophan would not be a great idea. That Thanksgiving feast in your belly on a run would just not work.

The best thing to do is get active before the fork gets to your mouth. The Nacogdoches Area United Way is putting together a Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day.

The 5K starts and ends at Pecan Acres Park in Nacogdoches at 8:30 am. You could get in a race before the family even shows up to eat.

Burn some calories in advance of this eating holiday for a good cause. The Pilgrim's Turkey Trot 5K is on Thanksgiving Day November 25th, 2021.

The 5K is only $35 to participate. There is also a $3.95 sign-up fee, so don't be surprised by that. Get signed up now to reserve your space, and hopefully they will still have a T-Shirt in your size.

It is all going down at Pecan Park in Nacogdoches. You can trot or run starting at 8:30 am.

Kids 10 and under 1K

You don't have to go at it alone; there are events for all ages this year. They are bringing back the Jaycees Kids K starting at 8 am for kids 10 and under brought to you free by the Nacogdoches Jaycees.

It is free to the first 100 entrants, but they do want you to sign up. The Nacogdoches Jaycees are also putting together some limited quantity tees for the kids.
