
Human Chain Saves Woman in Car From Deadly Flooding
A torrential rainstorm led to a courageous and tense rescue.
Rain pounded Ellicott City, Md. over the weekend, forcing a group of men to team up and form a human chain to free a woman trapped in her car. About a month's worth of rain fell on the town in just over two hours, creating a chaotic scene that you usually only see in a Hollywood blockbuster.
Eventually, the men managed to get the woman out of the car and bring her to safety. Two people died in the flooding. A state of emergency was declared in the wake of the storm.
