I Saw ‘John Wick Chapter 2′ Last Night [MY REVIEW]
The Lufkin Mall had a few screenings o John Wick Chapter 2 yesterday, and a buddy and I went to go see it.
If you've never seen the first 'John Wick' movie, I suggest you give it a chance. I really didn't know what I was getting into when I saw the first one, and I didn't have any interest to see it in theaters when it did come out in 2014. (Wow, it's already been three years since the original?)
It looked like just your run-of-the-mill action movies in the same vein as Jack Reacher. Why are we supposed to care about a movie that shows us a big movie star, a mundane title that tells us nothing, and a generic trailer that promises guns blazing?
The plot is simple, but the action is done in a way that actually grips you. For some magical reason, you're just along for the ride, and it's a really fun movie.
Going into the sequel, I realized my expectations could alter how I view the new chapter of John Wick's action packed life.
Anyway, when all is said and done, 'John Wick Chapter 2' gives us a lot of the same action, but a better look at the world they live in, and compared to the other big movie in theaters ... "50 Shades Darker," I'd say the second installment into the John Wick series is a no brainer.
I give it 10 out of 10 Sean Stars. (I don't get to see movies a lot, and don't review them normally either ... Just go with it)
