Lufkin and Nacogdoches Are Now Under An Ice Storm Warning
The National Weather Service has upgraded a Winter Storm Watch to an Ice Storm Warning for much of East Texas, north-central Texas, and northern Louisiana. This warning will be in effect from Saturday at 6 am until Sunday at 6 pm.

Significant icing is possible across the warned region. Ice accumulations of a quarter inch to three-quarters of an inch could be experienced, with some isolated amounts of up to an inch of ice accumulation. This area may experience power outages and tree damage. Travel could also become treacherous.

Winter Storm Warning
The Winter Storm Warning will go into effect at 6 am on Saturday for all other East and Southeast Texas counties not included in the Ice Storm Warning. The Extreme Cold Watch covers all counties in East Texas. On Sunday and Monday nights, low temperatures will drop to the teens and single digits over the region.
