(KNUE-FM) You can tell the holidays are quickly approaching as you see more and more Christmas lights going up across East Texas. Everyone loves being able to spend the holidays with loved ones but if that means utilizing the DFW airport to get there, make sure you give yourself some extra time. We got some of the construction details so hopefully you can have a plan for navigating the airport once you arrive.

How to Enter DFW During Construction
According to WFAA, all traffic headed to Terminal A must now enter from the southbound side of International Parkway. Drivers coming in from the south entrance will need to travel north past all terminal entrances, then take the left-hand U-turn exit before the North Exit Plaza. Motorists can then return southbound and take the designated left-hand exit into Terminal A.

Updated Parking Instructions for Terminal A
Parking for Terminal A has also changed. The first garage entrance is closed during the construction project. All parking is now being redirected to the lower-level entrances across from the terminal curb.
Expected Travel Delays During the Holidays
As you would expect there will be detour signs to help people navigate the construction area. And remember to give yourself at least two hours before domestic flights and three hours if you’re traveling internationally.
We wish you nothing but the best this holiday season whether you’re traveling through airports or staying home here in Texas.
