PETA Targets Lufkin BBQ Restaurant Friday
Stringer's Lufkin Bar-B-Que is a Lufkin institution and family business that has garnered nationwide fame over the years. The restaurant has been passed down over three generations since it first opened in 1950.
This true Lufkin landmark in the heart of town is getting some unwanted attention from another nationally known organization. Their commitment to their food of choice has put them in the crosshairs of PETA.
It's not Stringer's delicious fried yeast rolls that they have issues with. They are pulling into town in defense of the pigs.

According to a press release from PETA, diners on their way to Lufkin Bar-B-Que and other Lufkin area eateries that serve pork are in for an earful on Friday.
PETA is bringing their "Hell On Wheels" realistic pig transport truck. It looks like a truck full of pigs on its way to market.
