  • Be a tourist in your town
  • Nacogdoches Summer Scavenger Hunt
  • Post photos for more chances to win

People come from around the world to visit the oldest town in Texas. I am always so thankful that such a fantastic part of the world was a big part of my childhood and adult life.

Living here day in and day out you sometimes forget to stop and smell the roses. While you might travel across the globe yourself to tour other historic sites, have you done the same in your hometown?

To entice you to further your knowledge about our neck of the woods, the Nacogdoches historic and cultural arts organizations are once again hosting the Nacogdoches Summer Scavenger Hunt.

Ways To Win The Nacogdoches Summer Scavenger Hunt

This year Nac Historic Sites are giving us two different ways to join in the hunt. There is a paper scavenger hunt, where you go old school and pick up a piece of paper at one of the sites and use it to enter.

You can also use the Visit Nac App to play a digital version as you go to each of the sites and enter the secret codes you find.

2023 Locations

  • Nacogdoches Public Library
  • Visit Nacogdoches Offices
  • Stone Fort Museum
  • Millard's Crossing Historical Village
  • Cole Art Center

If you complete the hunt you will be entered to win a prize basket to be awarded at the end of the summer. The hunt is going on now until August 11, 2023. We will find out who won shortly after.

For an additional bonus prize share photos from your outing with #nacsummerscavenger on social media.
