Downtown Nacogdoches Gears Up for the 6th Annual Dia de Los Muertos Fun Run
There's no shortage of runs in Nacogdoches. There are runs for the SFA Homecoming, Christmas, Thanksgiving, and more. They've even got one coming up for Dia De Los Muertos.
Day of the Dead Fun Run in Nacogdoches
Saturday, October 31st, the 6th Annual Dia de Los Muertos: Day of the Dead Fun Run will take place in Downtown Nacogdoches. Technically there are two races scheduled for that day. There's a one-mile inflatable costume race, and there's a 5k walk/run. According the the NacSeries Facebook page, the start time for the one-mile race is 8:00 AM, and the regular 5k starts at 8:30.
Both races will start and finish at the Fredonia Brewery, located at 138 North Mound Street in Nacogdoches.
Registration Information for Day of the Dead Fun Run
In order to participate in either race for the Day of the Dead, you have to register and pay your entry fees. The entry fee per contestant for the 5k is $45, and the entry fee for the inflatable costume one-mile run is $25. You can get registered on the RunSignUp website.
Every contestant that finishes the race will receive a collectible medal, and the 5k contestants will also receive a t-shirt.

There will also be additional awards for both groups. The awards for the 5k include overall male and female, 1st - 3rd place in each age group, and there will be an award for best costume - after all, this is taking place on Halloween, so why not run in a costume? For the one-mile run, there will be awards for overall male and female, fastest runner, and best inflatable costume.
It all goes down on October 31st, and it looks to be an awesome time. More information can be found on the RunSignUp page that I mentioned above.
