Yes, Lufkin is Bringing Back Long John Silver’s

Long John Silver's is Rebuilding in Lufkin on the Same Property as Before
According to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation website, there is a new project that has been registered for new construction at 1112 South Timberland Drive in Lufkin. That's the exact same location as the original Long John Silver's.

This project is listed as "new construction of a 2,247 sq ft Long John Silver's". The estimated cost is $1.3 million. And they're not wasting any time getting started. The plan is to start construction on 09/07/2026, and have it completed by 01/19/2027.

The only thing that gets me is that we passed over ANOTHER chance to bring in a Waffle House. I know, maybe that's just too far of a dream for me. But hey, we can always dream, right? As of now, I'm just glad that some new construction will be happening, and it'll be brand-new.
