Logan’s Roadhouse in Lufkin Shuts Down for Good
I know that we just posted about one Lufkin business shutting down abruptly, but now there's been another one close down just as quick - this one is a restaurant.
Logan's Roadhouse in Lufkin Closed Permanently
On Monday, I came across several posts on Facebook about the Logan's Roadhouse in Lufkin closing down. By the time I drove by on Tuesday morning, the sign by the road had been blacked out, the logos on the outer walls around the building had been removed, and there were box trucks and UHaul trailers being loaded with equipment from inside the restaurant. The conclusion was easy to draw - Logan's Roadhouse was closed for good.

As of right now, it hasn't been listed as permanently closed on Google, but the Lufkin location has been removed from the Logan's Roadhouse website and the Logan's Roadhouse Lufkin Facebook page lists it as "Permanently Closed".
Now, I don't have much insight as to what led to the closure of the restaurant. It could be that Texas Roadhouse across the street drew customers away, or there could have been a management problem, or food prices could have driven them out. All I know is that there is one less roadhouse in Lufkin.

What's Next for the Logan's Roadhouse Building?
Currently, there are no real estate signs out front - no surprises there, since they closed less than 72 hours ago - so we can only speculate on what's next for the building itself.

I would assume that another restaurant of some kind would look to move into the space, since it's already modeled for that business. However, it could be remodeled for whatever business a new owner might want to put in there. I'll keep an eye on it to see what might move in.
