SFA Unveils Full Schedule and Events for 2026 Homecoming

Homecoming week is always a big deal at SFA. Every year, the school tries - and usually succeeds - at making that year's homecoming bigger than the previous ones. 2026 is no different. SFA has announced their plans, and they're going big once again.

2026 SFA Homecoming Week Schedule

According to the SFA Homecoming webpage, this year's festivities will officially kickoff on Monday, October 19th at 7:00 PM. They will be dyeing the Surfin' Steve fountain purple as is tradition. After that, every day that week will be filled with activities, not just for the SFA students, but some for the Nacogdoches community as well.

Tuesday, October 20th is Casino Night. Starting at 7:00 PM in the Grand Ballroom of the Baker Patillo Student Center there will be lots of casino-style games set up for students to partake in.

Wednesday, October 21st there will be a Homecoming Blood Drive taking place in the Twilight Ballroom of the Student Center. The drive starts at 10:30 AM that morning and doesn't wrap up until 5:00 PM that evening. The blood drive isn't the only thing going on that day for homecoming. At 7:00 PM hypnotist Michael Oddo will be performing in the Grand Ballroom.

On Thursday, October 22nd, there are a couple of different events that have overlapping timelines. First is an event called "Trader Jacks". From 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM in the student center plaza, students will have booths set up to sell items that they've made. The 22nd is also the day of the annual homecoming 5k. The 5k is also taking place in the student center plaza and it begins at 6:00 PM.

Homecoming week this year isn't just about football. This year there's a basketball game going on that week, too. On Friday, October 23rd, the SFA Men's Basketball Team will be playing an exhibition game at William R. Johnson Coliseum against Sam Houston. That game starts at 6:00 PM. And, of course, one of the biggest - if not THE biggest - homecoming traditions takes place Friday night, as well. The Homecoming Bonfire and Homecoming Concert will begin at 8:00 PM at the intramural fields. This year, country music artist ERNEST will be performing at the bonfire.

Saturday, October 24th is the big day. It starts at 10:00 AM on the brick streets of downtown Nacogdoches with the annual Homecoming Parade. At Noon - once again, Homecoming is not COMPLETELY about football - the SFA volleyball team will be taking on Northwestern State at Shelton Gym. And last but not least, the 2026 SFA Homecoming Football Game will kick off at 6:00 PM at Homer Bryce Stadium, as the Lumberjacks faceoff against Southeastern Louisiana.

As you can see, Homecoming Week 2026 is going to be MASSIVE at SFA. But, as always, it looks to be awesome! Axe 'em!
