Where to Trick-or-Treat in Nacogdoches and Lufkin According to Locals

Just recently, we took to Facebook to ask our audience where the best places to trick-or-treat in Nacogdoches and Lufkin were. We didn't receive a ton of feedback on those questions, but we received enough to pass along the information of a few of the top locations in each town to those of you who might be looking for places to check out.

Now, keep in mind, these aren't the only locations. There are tons of other options in Nacogdoches and Lufkin. Maybe look at this list as a "kickstart" to trick-or-treating in our area.

The Best Trick-Or-Treating Locations in Nacogdoches

According to the Facebook answers for Nacogdoches, the best place to go trick-or-treating in Nacogdoches - or technically, just outside of the Nacogdoches city limits - is in the Spring Creek Subdivision. It's located just outside of Nacogdoches, before you get to Appleby.

The second place was the Waterford Subdivision, entering either just across from the high school, or on Appleby Sand Road across from the Appleby Sand Animal Clinic. You have a couple of options on where to get started searching for candy there, so that's a win, I'd say.

The Best Trick-Or-Treating Locations in Lufkin

Lufkin people had their Facebook input for trick-or-treating locations in their town as well. One of the first places that was mentioned was the Crown Colony subdivision, just outside the loop in Lufkin. There's no shortage of houses there, so hopefully that means that there would be no shortage of candy, too.

Next up on the list of Lufkin trick-or-treating locations was the area around the Brookhollow Elementary School - I mean, come on, you would hope that the folks near an elementary school would have good trick-or-treating reputations, right?
