Man Attacks Texas Utility Worker Truck in the Middle of the Highway
A CenterPoint Energy utility worker in Houston, Texas, found himself on the receiving end of an angry outburst from a local resident.
The incident, which can be seen in the video at the bottom of this article, shows a man furiously attacking the worker's truck with a large tree branch or a piece of rebar, it's hard to tell.
He is Coming Our Way
The footage opens with a man walking menacingly down a highway in Houston, Texas. He is walking directly toward the camera being operated from inside the utility truck. As the man gets closer, we see he is carrying a long, skinny blunt object.
Contact
The man pulls the object back and swings it with all his might. He makes contact with one of the truck's side view mirrors and it makes a loud crunching sound as it dislodges from the vehicle and crashes to the ground below.
Leave Them Alone
As Houston continues to pick up the pieces after Hurricane Beryl, it is crucial for residents to remember that utility workers are doing their best to restore normalcy as quickly as possible. Acts of aggression not only hinder these efforts but also put lives at risk. Let’s hope for a speedy recovery for all those affected and a return to civility and cooperation.
