(Arlington, Texas) On September 25, a major announcement is expected to come out of Six Flags Over Texas.

The Entertainment Capital of Texas has been closely guarding a secret. A monumental secret. A secret that roller coaster enthusiasts have been speculating on since the news broke last November that they would be removing La Vibora, the bobsled-style ride, and El Diablo from the park's Spain section.

The park announced at that time that a new style 'dive' coaster would be coming to the park and taking over the former footprint where those two rides stood. This new coaster will become the park's signature roller coaster, opening in 2026.

Project Rubi: The Secret Coaster Plan

Since then, coaster sleuths have uncovered a treasure trove of information about this new coaster, which has been nicknamed 'Project Rubi 1002', according to an FAA filing that someone discovered.

Admittedly, Six Flags Over Texas has said this coaster is going to be 'record-breaking'.

Speculation has been rampant across social media groups about what the coaster is going to be called, how many inversions it will have, how steep the dive is going to be, and how long the track is going to be.

One of the records the coaster is hoping to break is a height record. From what the sleuths have uncovered, it will stand at 309 feet! Hence, the reason for the FAA height filing is its proximity to DFW Airport.
