Cracker Barrel Fiercely Responds to Customer Backlash Over Restaurant Remodels
Cracker Barrel has finally provided a fierce response to customer backlash over the remodeling of their locations' dining rooms.
What Changes Did Cracker Barrel Make in Remodeling?
One year ago, Cracker Barrel posted this video to their Instagram showing the inside of a remodeled Cracker Barrel.
Immediately, fans starting commenting on the video, upset that most of the flair that Cracker Barrel is known for was gone.
Instead of the rustic decor complete with trinkets mounted on the walls, the new locations feature more of a drab look, with not much on the newly painted white walls and a modernized dining room.

Fast-forward to present day, and fans are still commenting on the same video showing their displeasure with the remodels. So, Cracker Barrel finally stepped up to the plate with a rebuttal.
What Did Cracker Barrel Say About Its Remodeling?
People reports that a Cracker Barrel spokesperson said, "We are very pleased with the trajectory of our remodeled stores. Feedback from both guests and team members has been overwhelmingly positive and enthusiastic about the refreshed dining and shopping experience. All of the elements of our remodels were informed by direct input from our guests and team members alike — these changes are for them."
Are they, though? What about all of the fans that are complaining about the look?
Cracker Barrel has some fierce words for those folks:
"As with any change, we recognize that there may be a vocal minority who feel differently. However, the strong performance of these locations affirms that we are moving in the right direction."
Employees also reporting that the stores are easier to clean now, due to the fact that dirt was hard to spot on the brown walls, so customers should be happier.
It seems like it's all systems go for the continued remodeling of Cracker Barrel locations, despite the "vocal minority" who might think otherwise.
When Did The First Cracker Barrel Open?
The first Cracker Barrel opened in September of 1969 in Lebanon, Tenn. Cracker Barrel's home offices still reside there to this day.
