Texas Target Stores Confirm Special Discounts – One Week Only
If you're a fan of the Target Store brand across the Lone Star State you will be quite pleased to hear what the giant retailer has planned for patrons in Beaumont, Baytown, College Station, and Galveston, and one hundred forty-seven other locations around the state. We all know back-to-school shopping is in full force right now and to assist Texas families in a two-fold way Target stores in the state and across the company's footprint are offering a special discount.
If you weren't aware the 2024-2025 school year for all practical purposes is underway. In many school systems across Texas teachers and administrators have already reported to their classrooms. Educators are finalizing lesson plans, and getting classrooms ready for students, and they are also going over their list of needed supplies.
For many parents, in addition to the "supplies" that are needed for a new school year, there is the added expense of purchasing clothing for back-to-school. Target stores are offering Texas parents a discount of 20% as part of the store's "Denim Take Back Event".
You've probably figured out this special discount applies to used and gently worn denim clothing. During the discount event which runs from August 4th through August 10th shoppers may drop off up to five denim items at specially marked boxes in Target stores. Shoppers will then scan a QR Code that offers a savings of 20% on any new denim purchase made through the store's loyalty program.
We mentioned the program offered a "two-fold" advantage. For shoppers not only will they get a discount but they will also create room in their closets. If you talk to a lot of people, the lack of closet space is very concerning. There is also a third advantage to taking advantage of programs such as these offered by Target.
The old denim clothing will be recycled. This means your old jeans and jackets won't be a part of the 17 million tons or more of textile waste that go into our nation's landfills every year. The old denim will be recycled into insulation for homes, and packaging materials, and will be used in some appliances as well.
