The time has come to check your freezer and fridge! According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service "Johnsonville, LLC., a Sheboygan Falls, Wis. establishment, is recalling approximately 95,393 pounds of its ready-to-eat jalapeño cheddar smoked sausage products that may be contaminated with extraneous material, specifically hard green plastic." The sausages were produced and packaged on March 12th and 13th and shipped nationwide. You can tell if your package was produced that day by looking for the code “EST. 34224” inside the USDA mark of inspection. If you have a Johnsonville JALAPEÑO CHEDDAR Smoked Sausage” package do not consume it! You can also check the  “Best By" date and see if it says "06/09/2019” on the back of the package. Sorry if this ruins your grilling plans.

Throw the package away, or go return it to the place you purchased it like Walmart or Brookshires they will give you your money back.
