The wait will soon be over for Kalie Shorr's long-awaited debut album. On Friday (Aug. 30), the rising star revealed the news that her coveted first full-length project is titled Open Book, featuring 13 tracks all co-written by her and a dynamic team of songwriters.

Shorr teamed up with a pair of fellow up-and-coming acts who she's performed alongside during Song Suffragettes, the weekly all-female singer-songwriter event she launched in Nashville. Candi Carpenter and former Real Country contestant Savannah Keyes have cuts on the album that include "F U Forever," "Alice in Wonderland" and "Gatsby."

Shorr also shared the album's debut single, "Lullaby," a transformative track that begins as a soft acoustic ballad. The song finds her trying to ward off the bad habits from a tough breakup before it turns into an angsty, rock-leaning number with prominent drums and electric guitar.

"I'm gonna scream and I'm gonna cry / But tonight I won't need the hallway light / I'm singin' one last lullaby, and I'm / Putting this to bed," the dynamic singer proclaims in the chorus.

“I felt like ‘Lullaby’ was the perfect first song to release because it sonically encompasses the whole album,” Shorr explains to Rolling Stone Country“[Open Book] documents the 24th year of my life, which was the toughest period I’ve ever gone through. This new chapter is one I’m very proud of, very excited for, and I’m very hopeful that this song resonates with all the other broken hearts out there and maybe helps heal them a little bit too.”

Shorr was named to Taste of Country's inaugural RISERS class in 2017. Following the release of her debut single "Fight Like a Girl" in 2016, she unveiled two EPs, 2017's Slingshot and her breakthrough, Awake, in 2018.

Open Book is set for release on Sept. 27.
