This is the team that continues to accomplish the impossible, and tonight, in just their first season as a Little League organization, the Lufkin All-Stars can punch their ticket to the World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

The team even has a new nickname, the Nasty Nine, since the team now only has a total of 9 players.  But, those nine players stepped up for the game of their lives on Tuesday in shutting out South Lake Charles 6-0, and earning the right to have a rematch with Texas West which is represented by a team from San Antonio.

The winner of tonight's game will be the Southwest region champion and will be this area's representative at the World Series.

The bad news about tonight's game - two of our best pitchers, Ethan Jacobs and Kolton Eberlan will not be available to pitch tonight due to pitch count limitations.  The good news - We still have some outstanding pitchers on the team and we are the Lufkin Little League All Stars!!!

Tonight's game will start at 8 and will be carried live on our sister station, Q107, as well as on ESPN2.
