Several months ago in the fall of 2021, Rodney Ivy announced his retirement as the director of Human Resources and Civil Service for Lufkin.  According to a media release from Jessica Pebsworth, Communications Director for the City of Lufkin, Adriana Thomasee will be taking over that position.

Thomasee recently accepted the position. She has sixteen years of experience in human resources, so Thomasee brings a wealth of knowledge to the role, according to Assistant City Manager Gerald Williamson.

“We were fortunate to find someone in our own community with the extensive knowledge Ms. Thomasee brings to our team,” Williamson said. “Her experience has been varied but intensive in the areas that we really need in a municipality. I know she will be a great asset to lead and build a positive and productive culture among our employees.”

Thomasee is a native of Colombia and came to the United States after serving with their military. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in business administration and accounting from Nueva Granada Military University in Bogota, Colombia.

She also holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources certification from HRCI (Human Resource Certification Institute). She has previously worked in human resources in corporate retail, education, as well as in healthcare.

“I am very proud to serve the City of Lufkin, the city I call home,” Adrianna Thomasee said. “I came here in 2005 and I am happy to be able to give something back to the city that has given so much to my son and me.”

PICTURES: See Inside America's Jaw-Dropping Most Expensive Home

A staggering estate listed as "America's most expensive home" is currently listed for sale in Bel Air, Calif., for $295 million, and pictures show a one-of-a-kind home that's almost impossibly elaborate and massive. The 100,000-square-foot, 29-bedroom, 41-bathroom home will be the most expensive private residence sale in the U.S. if it brings that price, and that price tag comes with every conceivable amenity, including a private nightclub, full-service beauty salon, wellness spa, 10,000-square-foot sky deck, 400-foot glass-walled outdoor running track with a view of the city and a private movie theater with seating for more than 40 people.
