Lufkin Police Releases Photos of Forgers, Let’s Make Them Famous
UPDATE: According to a post by Crime Stoppers, one of the women shown in the pictures was mistakenly shown as a suspect for forgery.
Representatives with the Deep East Texas Crime Stoppers are asking area residents to take a good, long look at two photos recently released on their Facebook Page. Lufkin Police Detectives believe that two people in these pictures are forgers who passed bogus checks on a victim's bank account.

In a separate case that occurred on Sunday night, January 15, thieves stole a Dodge truck from the parking lot of Quality Inn & Suites in Lufkin, located at 4306 South First Street. The truck was parked too far from security cameras to know who took it but the truck itself stands out and someone might claim a cash reward from Crime Stoppers by identifying the thieves or helping locate the truck.
The 1994, single-cab, Dodge Ram is mostly purple, with a black hood, a blue grill, black wheels, a 6-inch lift, and has a large Rigid brand orange toolbox in its bed. When stolen, the truck displayed Missouri license plate 9ABJ81.
