UPDATED - As of 12:10 p.m., Lufkin Police have confirmed that Burch has been taken into custody. 

At approximately 11:45am officers took Christopher Leon Burch into custody on a warrant for Arson. Burch was found at a residence and was arrested without incident. He was taken to the Lufkin Police Department where he spoke with officers concerning multiple arson cases. Burch has been cooperative and is still being interviewed. According to investigating officers, additional charges will be forthcoming.

The Lufkin Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a suspect wanted in a felony arson case.  The following is from an LPD press release.

The Lufkin Police Department has obtained an arrest warrant for Christopher Leon Burch for the offense of 2nd Degree Felony Arson. The warrant was sought after investigators identified Burch as the suspect in setting two fires at Wal-Mart Supercenter located in the 2500 block of Daniel McCall Dr. on the night of October 29, 2014.

The Lufkin Police Department is seeking help in locating Christopher Leon Burch. He is described as a 32 year old white male with brown hair and brown eyes with “Burch” tattooed on the right side of his neck. Burch is 5’7” and weighs approximately 200 pounds.
