WATCH: Mattress Mack Says Astros Canceled His First Pitch Invite

Never heard of him? That's because you may know him better as Mattress Mack. You know, the businessman who started Gallery Furniture. Many know him better as the face of Houston philanthropy.

It seems that Mack is always searching for ways to give back to the community. I realize it's good business to be a good steward, but it seems that Mattress Mack is about as genuine as they come. He gives from the heart.

Mack Loves His Astros

Mattress Mack has also embraced many of the Houston sports teams, but none more than the Houston Astros. He has run several promotions allowing customers the chance to win free furniture should the Astros win the World Series.

During their World Series championship run last year, he was invited to throw out the first pitch for Game 6 at Minute Maid Park.

He was also invited to throw out the first pitch on Saturday afternoon for the first game of the American League Divisional Series against Minnesota.

However, according to a Tweet on Mattress Mack's 'X' account, that invitation was revoked. 

Here's why in Mack's words:

If everything happened as he said, then I totally agree with his viewpoint, and judging by the comments to this Tweet, I'm not the only one.
