Miranda Lambert Vows to Continue Hurricane Harvey Relief Efforts
Miranda Lambert's three-day mission to help out animals displaced by Hurricane Harvey is over, but the singer says her work is far from done.
Lambert and MuttNation headed to Houston on Tuesday (Aug. 29) after the Humane Society invited them to help out in the wake of Hurricane Harvey, which struck Texas last weekend and brought devastating floods to the area. They rescued 72 dogs the first day and helped clear out another 62 animals from the Houston Humane Society the following day.
The Texas native wrapped up her work on the ground in Houston on Thursday (Aug. 31) and posted a video to Instagram on Friday (Sept. 1), thanking her fans and followers for their support and prayers.
"We are so thankful to have been invited to help our furry friends in this time of sorrow. We will continue to do whatever we can to help," she writes. "Continued prayers for Texas."
