One of the best places for the entire family to have fun and make a lifetime of summer memories is Moody Gardens in Galveston.
We've teamed up with M&M Roofing to give away family four packs to this 5-star destination. The daily drawings will start on Thursday, July 13. Each winner will receive four tickets to each of the following attractions:
Aquarium Pyramid
Explore the oceans' depths in the Gulf of Mexico, South Atlantic, North Pacific, South Pacific and the Caribbean. This 1.5-million-gallon aquarium is teeming with creatures from tuxedo-clad penguins to seals, sharks, an amazing Jellyfish Gallery and thousands of tropical fish and more with new and interactive opportunities all along the way.
Rainforest Pyramid
Experience a breathtaking tribute to the world's vanishing rainforests and its inhabitants. As you enter through a tree-top canopy entrance, you'll visit the rainforests of Asia, Africa and the Americas in a rare, up-close and interactive adventure with over 1,700 exotic plants and endangered animals that range from Giant Amazon River Otters to an ocelot, Komodo dragons and other reptiles. Saki monkeys, Cotton-top tamarins, and sloths roam freely while an array of birds fly between the trees as you walk the trails through the spacious enclosure
Discovery Museum
There are a couple of exhibits at the Discovery Museum. Sharks In Depth explores shark facts versus fiction, anatomy, and behavior through a series of hands-on activities. Visitors can learn how a shark survives without a swim bladder, how they sense prey through vibrations and smell, what currently threatens shark populations and more.
The Planet Earth: Deep Sea Adventures exhibit comes to Galveston Island by way of the San Antonio Zoo. Dr.Dante Fenolio, San Antonio Zoo’s Vice President of Conservation and Research, has traveled the world and to the deepest depths, shedding light on rarely-seen wildlife to the general public. Planet Earth: Deep Sea Adventure takes us to the bottom of the ocean to a concealed habitat absent of light. This strange and fascinating world of complete darkness is not a solitary place – millions of life forms inhabit it. This exhibit brings these shadowy haunts into focus and shows us how life forms have adapted to lightless environments, including refinements of senses, the evolution of unique body parts, and illumination using “biological flashlights.”
3D & 4D Theaters
Immerse yourself as this amazing giant-screen 4K 6-primary laser projection system, state-of-the-art surround sound and the largest screens in Texas provides one the best 3D viewing experiences in the world.
3D movie choices include Dinosaurs of Antarctica and Secrets of the Sea. While 4D movie choices include Shark - A 4D Experience and Mowgli's 4D Jungle Adventure
Colonel Paddlewheel
Featuring 45-minute cruises aboard a replica of an 1800s paddlewheel boat.
Audience Recognition Theater
Captain Nemo and his famous Nautilus submarine are embarking on their next voyage and YOU will be a part of the crew! You'll help operate the ship, and choose which direction it travels as “Deep,” a robotically enhanced pufferfish leads the dive. He can — and will — have conversations with you to escort The Nautilus to a spectacular coral reef, ice caves in the Antarctic, an ancient lost city, undersea volcanos, and more!
