Enjoy the original 'Jurassic Park' at the Pines Theater in downtown Lufkin.

It was a simpler time. Scientists weren't mixing Dino DNA to create invisible hybrid dinosaurs, Chris Pratt was just a wee tyke, and fossil fuels came at $1.19 per gallon.

Right off the heels, of the Independence Day (The holiday, not the movie)  the Pines theater is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the classic's 1993 release of Steven Spielberg's masterpiece.

You'll be able to chill in the cool digs of the Pines theater, and with this Texas heat, we could all use a break from the sun. They're keeping ticket prices at $5 per ticket too, so you can save some cash for those beach trips and margaritas!

Bring a friend who has never seen the original or maybe a fan who didn't get to catch the original theatrical release. It's the 25th anniversary, so don't let those poor little dinosaurs down. Oh, and these animatronic dinosaurs can't tweet, so they are "nostalgia-safe."
