Death, taxes, and the inability of Texas weather to make up its mind...yup, those are some of the certainties of the Lone Star State.  The next 5-7 days of weather across Deep East Texas, will bring cooler weather, warmer weather, cooler weather, and a good amount of rain.

A cool front will keep our high temps in the 60s through the weekend, but a warm front will have us back in the 70s and 80s by early next week, then get ready for another cool front to drop us into the 60s again.  The one commonality through all this will be the ever-present chances of rain.  In the short-range, the best chance of rain will be Saturday afternoon, then the chances will increase again with the approach of the next cool front on Wednesday.  The best chance of heavy downpours will happen Tuesday night into Wednesday.

After all is said and done, 2 to 5 inches of rain could fall across the region over the next 5 days.  Widespread amounts over 5 inches are expected throughout Arkansas.
