Ramp Closure Set for Today at Highway 259/59 Interchange

According to a press release from the Texas Department of Transportation, the Highway 259 southbound exit ramp to US 59 (west loop) in Nacogdoches County will be closed Wednesday so that contractors can perform construction work beneath the roadway.

Vaca Underground Utilities from Houston will close the ramp at 8 am to drill and cement a new service pole foundation. Work is expected to be completed by 5 pm.

Motorists are urged to choose alternate routes and reduce speed near the work area. Stay alert for workers and moving equipment as this work progresses. Delays should be expected near the work zone.
