Rascal Flatts to Launch Clothing Line
When you’re as sleek and stylish as the Rascal Flatts guys, it only makes sense to spread your taste to others. Joe Don Rooney, Gary LeVox and Jay DeMarcus are one step ahead; they’ve already got plans for a clothing line in the works.
“We’re right now in the design phase but it’s definitely something we want to do,” DeMarcus says, according to the band’s label, Big Machine. “We’re looking for the right partner to help us implement those things right now.”
In 2009, the band partnered with J.C. Penney clothing stores on their Rascal Flatts American Living Unstoppable Tour in order to promote the chain’s American Living line, but this is the first time that the ‘One Wish’ hitmakers will have a brand tied to them directly.
While we anticipate that the trio’s clothing line will be as GQ as they are, the Flatts guys can’t take all of the credit for dressing themselves. After all, they’re a busy chart-topping country band with wives and families to boot. Rooney, DeMarcus and LeVox give a special nod to their personal stylist, John Murphy, for the help. “He has come up with some concepts and some lines that are individually unique for the three of us,” DeMarcus spills. “We’re really excited about the possibilities and we’ve just now started pitching the ideas to some different kinds of partners that would make sense for us to implement this.”
There’s no word yet on when the Rascal Flatts clothing line will launch officially, or what it will be named. The band is scheduled to perform at the CMA Awards on Nov. 9.
