Scientists are becoming cross-resistant to insecticides, according to a new study published in the Scientific Reports journal. German roaches, which are the most common, have been developing a defense against insecticides. Researchers were testing different insecticides, even mixing them, but the bugs are still winning! Even though scientists could use the insecticides to keep the roach population in check, they couldn't reduce the population, according to EastTexasMatters.com. The roaches are passing their immunity to their offspring, which makes it even more difficult to kill them using insecticides.
