It wasn't quite as close as many polls suggested.  President Barack Obama decisively won 4 more years in the White House after yesterday's long-awaited and hotly-contested election day.

As of early Wednesday morning, Florida was the only state which had not declared which candidate had won their election, but with 303 projected delegates, Obama was well above the 270 needed to regain the Presidency.

Here in Texas, and more specifically East Texas, Mitt Romney gathered the vast majority of the votes, so needless to say, there are a number of folks around these parts that are not happy with the results.  But, as the old saying goes, it is what it is.  Some of the best advice I've heard when it comes to the President is to just pray daily that whoever is the Commander-in-Chief will lead our country in the right direction and that he or she will lead our country with God at their side.

In other local and state election news, Greg Sanches wins the Angelina Country Sheriff position, Ted Cruz and Louis Gohmert also are winners, and the sale of beer and wine is approved in Sabine County and in parts of the city of Tyler.
