The SFA Lumberjacks basketball team will try to add on to one of their most successful seasons ever as they travel to California tonight to take on the Stanford Cardinal in a first round NIT game.

Granted, this is not the game nor the tournament that SFA had hoped to be in.  The Southland Conference Champs were within three points of punching their ticket for the Big Dance (NCAA tourney), but things just didn't pan out.

So, instead of moping about that result, lets go out and show the nation how far we can advance in the NIT which features the defending NCAA champs from last year in Kentucky.  In fact, SFA's opponent tonight is the reigning NIT champ from last year.

The game time is set for 10 p.m. Central and will be televised on ESPN2, you can also catch the game on our sister station and home of SFA basketball, Q107.

Axe 'em, Jacks!
