Some Interesting NFL Match Ups Await in Week 9
It looks like the NFL season is settling down and the weird wins are going away. That leaves some interesting games for Week 9 of the NFL season.
Get up early if you want to watch the Houston Texans. They will take on their division rival Jacksonville Jaguars in London at 8:30 a.m. our time on NFL Network. The Texans are coming off a close win over the Raiders last week while the Jags beat up the New York Jets last Sunday. The Texans need to keep winning, without J.J. Watt with his latest season ending injury, to stay within reach of the division leading Indianapolis Colts. The Jaguars are hanging on in the division. A win would put them in a tie with Houston. I think the Texans will get the win in a close one, 28-27.
The Chicago Bears are in Philly to take on the Eagles. This is a tale of two teams that haven't found their stride just yet. The Bears offense has sputtered this season and the defense has disappointed. The Eagles have been up and down all year. They got shellacked by Dallas two weeks ago but pounced on the excellent Buffalo Bills defense last week. Was that the win to get the Eagles back on track? Can the Bears get their offensive swagger back? I'm giving this one to the Eagles, 24-10.
Sunday night's Patriots - Ravens game in Baltimore is a very intriguing. The grizzled vet, Tom Brady, versus the up and coming young 'un, Lamar Jackson. The Patriots are undefeated but face their first real test this season. This could be the best game of the weekend. I'm going upset with the Ravens winning 24-21.
