East Texas is loaded with musical talent, and some those artists will be performing Sunday at Millard's Crossing in Nacogdoches.

The Summer Reading Festival gets underway at 1 today and continues well into the evening.  This event is geared towards music lovers and for kids, since this event is designed to benefit children and their desire to read.  Admission into the grounds is one children's book...that's it.  These books will then be distributed to Carpenter Elementary students.

The Summer Reading Festival will have concerts by Johnson's Lost Crowes, Zach Mason, All Nighter, Steffany Karback, Sleep Juliet, Marshall Hance, Flood Over, Joe Cuellar, Corusco, As Dusk Falls, Grant Howarth, Joe Resendis, Little Ideas, Cody Strain, and Ryan Davis.

There will be free hot dogs on a first come basis, Coke will be supplying drinks, and there will be festivities for the kids including an 'instrument petting zoo'.  This is where kids will get the opportunities to get first hand experience on instruments such as guitars, drums, and more.

The event is being produced by Unit 65 Productions.
