Through a release on their Facebook page, the Nacogdoches Police Department is reporting that on Wednesday, October 20 around 1:45 p.m., the Nacogdoches Police Department SWAT team along with numerous other agencies including the Texas Department of Public Safety went to the 900 block of Daybreak Drive, near Mike Moses Middle School,  to serve a murder warrant from Harris County on Jabraylon Pleasant, 19.

Law enforcement had obtained information that the the Nacogdoches native was staying at a residence on that street. Once on scene, the SWAT team was able to take Jabraylon Pleasant into custody without incident.  He is currently being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail.

According to a story on the 'Click2Houston' website, Pleasant is implicated in a homicide which took place in February of 2020 in Channelview, Texas which is located in Harris County.  In that incident, 17-year-old Tristan Jones was gunned down by two assailants, one of which was allegedly identified as Jabraylon Pleasant.  The suspect was apparently in jail in Nacogdoches on an unrelated charge when he was implicated in the murder charge out of Harris County.
