Angelina County Fair

Day one of the Angelina County Fair is in the books.  The winners of the various day one competitions are listed below, and has become tradition, several of those youngsters stopped by the Merrell in the Morning Show.

The 68th Annual Angelina County Fair gets underway this week at the George H Henderson Jr. Expo Center in Lufkin.  Hundreds of students from across the area will be participating in numerous competitions.

Horses, goat, lambs, and ag mechanic projects were featured on day 3 of the 67th Annual Angelina County Fair.  Several of the top students in their divisions paid a visit to the Merrell in the Morning Show.

Friday was another full day of presentations and judging at the 67th Annual Angelina County Fair at the George H. Henderson Expo Center in Lufkin.  Hogs, Heifers, Steers, and Arts & Crafts took center stage.

The 67th Annual Angelina County Fair is in full swing and continues through Saturday at the George H Henderson Expo Center in Lufkin.

The wind and rain blew in just in time for the first day of the Angelina County Fair at the George H. Henderson Expo Center, but did nothing to stop a very successful kick off to this 67th annual event presented by Brookshire Brothers.

The Angelina County Fair is drawing to a close.  Another great year of hard work by some of East Texas' finest youth has been on display at the Expo Center in Lufkin.

Thursday at the Angelina County Fair it was a mixture of lambs, goats, geldings, and fillies that filled the floor of the Expo Center in Lufkin...that and quite a lot of nervous moments for the youth that have worked so hard.

Wednesday at the Angelina County Fair saw a lot of competition in the baking and cooking division.  From pies to cookies to breads, area youth concocted some delicious and well-presented goodies.

Judging at the Angelina County Fair wrapped up Friday with competitions being held in arts and crafts, heifer, market hog, and steer shows.  Once again, several of the award winning students paid a visit to the Merrell in the Morning Show.

Grooming, showing, judging, and nerves went late into the evening yesterday for day 3 of the Angelina County Fair at the Expo Center.  The full list of those who fared quite well is below, but we were fortunate enough to have some of those youngsters on the Merrell in the Morning Show today.

Some might take a look at this spread of delicious desserts and think 'that's a lot of calories'.  I prefer to look at the fact that the recipe lists for these delicacies include bananas, peanut butter, eggs, apples, blueberries, and molasses which are considered healthy and good for you.
