The project is designed to raise awareness of the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol

Over 20+ years ago, the Angelina County Drug Free All-Stars program was in its infancy and I'm proud to say that I was a part of the committee to oversee its development.  In addition to recognizing area seniors who made the commitment to be drug free, we wanted to find funds to provide scholarships to some of the All-Stars.

Abeldt’s Pharmacy, Angelina Beautiful/Clean, The Coalition, Angelina County and the Lufkin Police Department held a prescription medication disposal event. With the help of the DEA Angelina County residents properly disposed of unused or expired medications on April 28th.
