As always, it was another great Zoo Brew! This year with the addition of wine at every booth, I think they really hit it out of the park...or uh, the zoo.

Zoo Brew is just around the corner! This year, Zoo Brew will be held on Saturday, May 6th, so you need to get tickets, NOW.

If you don't mind the drive, one big Texas zoo is letting teachers in free for the rest of the month, and friends that go along can get big discounts too.  Road trip!

The zoo in Lufkin just added a rare baby animal.  And in Tyler, a big expansion is making progress and should be finished this spring. Our zoos in East Texas may not be the biggest in Texas, but they're unique, interesting, and they keep on growing.

This weekend, the two Texas NFL teams will be trying to punch their tickets to the AFC and NFC championship games.  Saturday afternoon, the Houston Texans will be on the road to take on Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, and on Sunday evening, the Dallas Cowboys will play host to the Green Bay Packers.

It seems only appropriate that I have discovered a hidden talent while at the Ellen Trout Zoo in Lufkin.

The moment we have all been waiting for is here! This Saturday at 10 am, Ashur the white lion cub will make his debut with his mother and father.

Earth Day is all about learning to live in greener ways, and there are several ways to do it in Lufkin. The Ellen Trout Zoo is getting into Earth Day too.

We are getting ready for night one of Free Movies In The Park (Wednesday Oct 7th) at Ellen Trout Park. We gave everyone a few helpful hints and basic rules of the night last year, so I'm just posting these tips again to make sure everyone has a good time.
