Holiday weekend, 4th of July, Independence Day...  You know, FIREWORKS!

2 times a year, I make my way to the fireworks store/stand to make a purchase of things that pop, light up, smoke, sizzle, dazzle, sparkle, streak, and go boom.  Usually, when I take a look at the vast array of products, the first two questions that pop in my head are 'What does this do?' and 'How much does it cost'.

This week, Chinese artist Cai Guo-Qiang put on his largest "explosion event" of the last three years, utilizing microchip-controlled explosives to form incredible designs and patterns.  Each set of explosions paints a different picture.  Pictures like "drops of ink splattered across the sky", an amazing rainbow and pyramid shape over the desert...
